B1G analyst labels 2022 Purdue 'one of the better Jeff Brohm teams' he's seen
Is Purdue the team to watch out for in the B1G West this year?
According to B1G analyst Gerry DiNardo, it’s certainly a program to take note of. The Boilermakers, fresh off a 9-4 season, could be looking to do some damage in 2022.
“I actually think overall it’s one of the better Jeff Brohm teams we’ve seen,” Dinardo said, quote via Purdue on BTN. “This is a really good football team.”

The Boilermakers return 12 starters from last season, including rocket arm signal caller Aidan O’Connell who is back for a third season as a starter. Milton Wright is also back, giving O’Connell a trusted weapon through the air whose production will certainly skyrocket with likely WR1 duties.
And still, outmaneuvering the losses of last year’s top receiver in David Bell and top defender in George Karlaftis will be no easy task. Purdue needs a few players to step up and in a big way if the 9-win mark from last season is to be surpassed.
