Drew Brees is on fire to start Sunday Night Football!

A lot has been made of Sunday’s game featuring Brees and the New Orleans Saints taking on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both players hail from the B1G, both are quarterbacks playing in their 40’s, and the two players also occupy the top two spots on the all-time passing touchdowns list in the NFL.

Entering Sunday’s game, Brady held the lead at 561 touchdowns to Brees’ 560. But Brees has quickly re-taken the lead, throwing for three touchdowns in 20 minutes of action to start the game.

Here are Brees’ three scores in order:

Brees was 14-of-16 to start the game for 145 yards and three touchdowns. He has already completed a pass to 11 different receivers in a quarter and a half of action.

On the other side of the ball, Brady has been dismal to start. He started the game completing just 4-of-12 passes for 27 yards and an interception.
