Greg Long is returning to Purdue for one more season, the right tackle looking to build on a solid year in West Lafayette.

Having transferred into the Big Ten program in 2020 out of UTEP, Long settled in quite nicely for the Boilermakers. He started in all six games for Purdue on the way to being named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention.

Purdue led the Big Ten in passing (309 yards per game) but was bottom of the conference in rushing (81.5 yards per game).

His return at right tackle is big news for Purdue as the program put together a lackluster 2-4 season in 2020. The Boilermakers had four straight losses to close out the season.

Earlier this week, Tarik Murphy, a true freshman running back who didn’t see any action in 2020, entered the transfer portal. Murphy was a four-star running back and one of the top players in New York in the class of 2020.
