Boilermakers release moon walk helmet to commemorate Purdue connection to U.S. Space Program
After a lot of hype over the weekend, Purdue has finally released the helmets it will wear against Maryland on Oct. 12.
To commemorate the school’s connection to the U.S. Space Program, Purdue will wear a white helmet, which the school is calling the Purdue Moon Walk Speed Helmet, with chrome facemask and chrome decals this Saturday. The Boilermakers will wear the space-looking helmet with an all-white uniform too.
Purdue fans can purchase a mini version of the moon walk speed helmet in the team’s online store.
