Brady Allen had decided to follow Jeff Brohm down I-65 and join the Louisville Cardinals.

The former Purdue quarterback, who made his latest move to the transfer portal 3 weeks ago, announced his decision on social media.

Allen initially decided to stay at Purdue under Ryan Walters, but reversed course, and will now be a Cardinal.

Allen redshirted last season, is 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds, and went 1-for-3 for 8 yards in a 56-0 win over Indiana State. He was expected to compete for the backup QB job at Purdue during spring practice.

A high school legend in Indiana, Allen’s 4,253 passing yards his senior season was the third-most in Indiana high school history. He was also the second-highest rated quarterback prospect in Purdue history by 247Sports, behind Kyle Orton.

Allen was the No. 5 player out of Indiana in 2022 out of Fort Branch, Indiana, and the highest-rated piece of Jeff Brohm’s 2022 recruiting class. He was also the 2021 Indiana Mr. Football, and competed alongside Texas transfer QB Hudson Card entering spring, but the Boilermakers also have redshirt freshman Hayden Timosciek and redshirt junior Christian Gelov.
