Deen is a highly-touted transfer, and is 17th overall in On3’s transfer rankings. The DT announced his intention to enter the transfer portal back in December. He joined a group of other defensive linemen leaving the Boilermakers, including Lawrence Johnson, Greg Hudgins and Jack Sullivan.
A starter for the Boilermakers, Deen recorded 26 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 3 sacks in 2021. This season, Deen totaled 27 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He finished second on the team in tackles-for loss with 9.5 in 2021 as well, and was named All-Big Ten honorable mention by coaches and media in the same season.
Deen originally signed with the Boilermakers in 2018 as a three-star prospect. He was the overall No. 15 player in the state of Indiana. The veteran defender has one year of eligibility remaining due to the Cov-19 pandemic.
