Charlie Jones not yet 100% healthy entering Week 8, Jeff Brohm reveals
Charlie Jones — Purdue’s star receiver — is still dealing with an injury but will potentially continue to play in Week 8. Purdue’s head coach Jeff Brohm spoke to the media in a Monday morning presser on Jones’ status.
Jones has been electric for Purdue this season, as a transfer from Iowa with 703 yards this season. In last weekend’s huge win over Nebraska, 43-37, Jones was still making plays while getting pretty banged up.

According to Brohm, Jones is not at 100% heading into Week 8. Back in Week 3, Jones dealt with an injury to his ribs and was seen on the sidelines after the half. So, hopefully, the wide receiver will see some action again on Saturday.
It is unclear the extent of Jones’ injuries at the moment. But, as the week rolls on hopefully, there will be more information regarding Jones and his status heading into this week’s game.
