The incredible catch by Jones showcased the receiver’s impressive hand-eye coordination. The catch was the exclamation point on a big day for Jones, who ended the day with 10 catches for 105 yards.
Jones now has 72 catches for 840 yards and 9 TDs on the season, leading the Boilermakers in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. Unfortunately, the incredible catch did not lead to a Boilermaker victory. The team fell to Wisconsin 35-24.
The Boilermakers fall to 5-3 with the loss and 3-2 in B1G play. Purdue will have a bye week in Week 9 before playing host to the Iowa Hawkeyes in Week 10.
Entering the weekend tied with Illinois atop the B1G West, Purdue will trail in the division moving forward but still has a head-to-head matchup with Illinois down the road.
