Charlie Jones received an invite to the 2023 NFL Draft on Monday. The star Purdue wideout had an impressive season.

Jones amassed 1,361 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns this season in West Lafayette. He originally transferred into the program from Iowa. Jones chose not to play in the Citrus Bowl against LSU after declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft in December.

Jones revealed that he had gotten an invite on his social media.

Jones led his team in receiving yards. The next closest to Jones in terms of receiving yards was TE Payne Durham (560). Durham, QB Aidan O’Connell, and DB Cory Trice also decided to opt-out of the Citrus Bowl.

Purdue will have a new face coaching from the sidelines in 2023. Ryan Walters landed the head coaching job after Jeff Brohm left for his alma mater Louisville.

If Jones’ talents can transfer over to the NFL, he could wreak havoc on defenses once again.
