Chris Jefferson has put Purdue back on top with Penn State’s most recent lead not lasting long. Jefferson picked off quarterback Sean Clifford and then produced a dazzling 72-yard return to complete the pick-6.

Penn State had just gotten the ball back and had a chance to build on a 28-24 lead against the Boilermakers. In fact, Mitchell Tinsley was open over the middle of the field.

The bad news is Clifford sailed his throw, missing his mark by a wide margin. Jefferson was there for the interception and followed his blocking all the way back for the score.

Instead of working the clock and adding to their lead, the Nittany Lions must now work from behind again with Purdue getting a chance to close the game out late. This one is coming down to the wire and should have an electric finish in store.
