A former Indiana defensive lineman will now suit up for the Hoosiers’ biggest rival.

Saturday, ex-IU lineman Damarjhe Lewis announced that he will be transferring to Purdue to continue his college football career. Lewis entered the transfer portal during the offseason after spending one year with the program.

The Griffin, Georgia native made his announcement with a statement on Twitter.

As a high school recruit, Lewis was a 3-star prospect who ranked as one of the Top 75 players out of Georgia. He was also listed as the No. 57 defensive tackle in the class.

Lewis did not play in any games for the Hoosiers during the 2020 season. However, he did received Scout Team Player of the Week honors at one point during the year.

Lewis will head to Purdue with four years of eligibility remaining.
