David Bell discusses monster performance in Boilers' win over Hawkeyes
There were many factors that played into No. 2 Iowa being shocked by Purdue but none was more important than the play of receiver David Bell.
He torched the Hawkeyes secondary all game long as he finished with 11 receptions for 240 yards and a touchdown. His 240 yards receiving is the most yards the Hawkeyes defense has given up to any receiver this season.
Bell spoke to Jason Fitz and Harry Douglas after the game on ESPN to discuss this performance, plus how he’s always seemed to have it out for the Hawkeyes in previous matchups.
“I personally think it has to go with the preparation that coach Brohm puts us up to. Each week that we play Iowa, it seems like we’re a little more dialed in against them and it showed in today (Saturday) how dialed in we were.”
