David Bell, former Purdue standout, notches first career NFL reception
David Bell’s first of many NFL receptions came Sunday afternoon.
Bell lined up in the slot and found a hole in the defense when quarterback Josh Dobbs delivered a ball right into his hands for a 22-yard pickup.

Bell was an incredible receiver for the Purdue Boilermakers in college, totaling 232 receptions for 2,046 yards and 21 touchdowns. Bell caught 8 touchdown passes his sophomore year despite only playing 6 games in a COVID-19-shortened season.
Bell was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Browns and was the 16th receiver off the board. He was also a first team All-B1G selection and named the B1G receiver of the year in 2021.
