David Bell shaken up, carted to locker room after hard hit vs. Notre Dame

It was a scary moment for Purdue players, coaches, and fans as star wide receiver David Bell took a hard hit from Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton.

Bell hit his hard on the turf and down for a while. He did up get on his own but was carted away to the locker room. He was seen with a bloody lip as he was carted away.

Bell is a huge player for Purdue’s offense as he caught seven receptions for 64 yards against Notre Dame. His leadership and experience will be key for Purdue to potentially get their first winning season and a postseason bowl game for the first time since 2018.

Bell will be carefully diagnosed as the Boilermakers start B1G Conference play next weekend versus Illinois.
