Have a day, David Bell.

The Purdue wide receiver absolutely torched No. 2 Iowa — the B1G’s best defense — in the Boilermakers’ 24-7 win over the Hawkeyes at Kinnick Stadium Saturday afternoon. He looked unstoppable, and the numbers say he basically was.

Bell tallied 240 yards — the 2nd-most in a single game in Purdue history — and caught a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to help lead the Boilermakers to victory.

This isn’t the first time Bell has lit up Iowa. In 2019, he had 197 yards — which was his career high until Saturday — and a touchdown against the Hawkeyes. Last year, he had 3 touchdowns and 121 yards.

The loss effectively takes Iowa out of CFP conversation, just one week after defeating then-No. 4 Penn State. It also shakes things up in the B1G as conference play heats up.

And Bell was a huge reason why.
