David Blough had an awesome NFL debut on Thanksgiving Day, and the young quarterback will be donning some very special cleats when he hits the field this week.

In his Thanksgiving debut against the Chicago Bears, the ex-Purdue quarterback threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns. Included in that stat line is a touchdown on his first career completion via a 75-yard bomb.

For the upcoming week of NFL action, the league is once again putting on “My Cause My Cleats.” It’s an initiative that allows players across the league to honor various charities and organizations that they are close to by wearing custom cleats.

It is a cool project and one that Blough will be involved in this week. He shared a photo of his custom cleats for the week on Tuesday, and they are indeed awesome.

The cause Blough has selected is The V Foundation which is dedicated to cancer research and programs. Making the cleats extra special, Blough will be honoring the late Tyler Trent with Trent’s picture and “Tyler Strong” on the cleats.

These are definitely awesome and a great way to continue Trent’s legacy now that Blough is in the NFL.
