Devin Mockobee joins Purdue freshman history with TD against Illinois
Devin Mockobee grabbed TD number 7 of the season on Saturday, also joining Purdue’s record books for a freshman in the meantime.
The Boilermaker RB became the third-ever Purdue freshman with 700 rushing yards during the Week 11 game vs. Illinois. It’s not the freshman’s first record-breaking accomplishment this season.
Mockobee had 178 yards on 30 carries against Nebraska in Week 8, setting a new single-game record for a Purdue freshman. The RB earned B1G Freshman of the Week honors for the record performance as well.

Mockobee, a redshirt freshman, came to Purdue as a walk-on and has been a key producer for the Boilermakers since. Mockobee has back-to-back games of 100+ rushing yards already this season and continues to pile on more in each game. The talented RB currently leads the Boilermaker in yards rushing.
