Eastern Michigan upsets Purdue, gets to fly pirate flag
Purdue got off to a rough start this season when the Boilermakers lost to Northwestern.
The Week 1 loss to a Big Ten team certainly stung, but the team had a chance to get a win under the belt as it hosted Eastern Michigan on Saturday. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen either.
Purdue was favored to beat Eastern Michigan, but the team from the MAC prevailed. Eastern Michigan won the game on a last-second FG by a final score of 20-19.
The pirate flag flies.

Whenever a MAC team gets a “big win” this season, MAC commissioner Jon Steinbrecher said that the team will have a Jolly Roger flag to run up the flag pole and remain there until the next game.
