After hitting the transfer portal in November of 2021, former Purdue DT Anthony Watts has found a home for his 7th and final season of eligibility. Watts is now heading to Huntington, West Virginia to play for Marshall.

Watts was with the Boilermakers since 2016, appearing in 38 games. In his career, he had 84 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and 1 interception.

Marshall football confirmed the news from its Twitter account on Wednesday morning.

Watts was a 3-star recruit from the class of 2016 out of Yates High School in Houston, Texas per the 247Sports Composite. He joins a recruiting class with the Thundering Herd that is currently ranked 1st in the C-USA on 247Sports. He’ll be playing for new head coach Charles Huff after longtime Marshall coach Doc Holliday did not return for his 11th season.
