Former Arkansas quarterback Malachi Singleton is headed to Purdue.

Singleton announced that decision on Friday evening:

Singleton’s decision to transfer from Arkansas was not exactly surprising though as quarterback Taylen Green has taken the spotlight in Fayetteville, putting Singleton in a position where he may have better opportunities to climb the depth chart in different places.

Singleton is considered a hot commodity after he was previously listed by the 247Sports Composite as a 4-star, top-400 prospect in the 2023 class. He was also ranked as the No. 17 overall prospect in that recruiting cycle nationally among quarterbacks. He also made it to the final round of the Elite 11 prospect showcase.

He’ll go into a Boilermakers team that is no stranger to transfers after they recently had a transfer quarterback of their own in signal-caller Hudson Card. How they make use of Singleton will be something to watch, but there is plenty of reason to believe Singleton will be able to hit the ground running in West Lafayette. He finished out the 2024 season with 21 of his 28 passing attempts completed for 358 yards with 4 total touchdowns.
