A former Purdue defensive lineman is heading to Marshall.

On Friday, Steven Faucheux announced on Twitter that he will be committing to Marshall. The defensive tackle entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal following the spring practice schedule at Purdue.

The former 3-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class spent two seasons with the Boilermakers but did not appear in any games. A native of West Chester, Ohio, Faucheux was ranked as one of the Top 400 overall prospects in the 2019 class and was listed as the No. 28 defensive tackle.

Out of high school, Faucheux received offers from 18 programs. He picked Purdue over Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee and West Virginia among others.

At Marshall, Faucheux will have all four years of eligibility to use. With the NCAA passing a one-time transfer rule, he’ll be immediately eligible to suit up for the Thundering Herd.
