Jaden Ivey is coming on strong for Purdue, and he punctuated the first half of action against Nebraska with a pair of strong dunks.
The freshman has appeared in 17 games entering Saturday’s game and he drew his seventh start of the season facing off against the Huskers. He played well in the first half and continues to look like a star in the making for the Boilermakers.
Ivey started quickly against Nebraska, scoring five of Purdue’s first 12 points in the game. Two of those came on a steal and breakaway that led to his first strong dunk of the game.

With time winding down in the first half, it was Ivey once again that came up with a highlight-reel play. This time, Ivey soared high for a putback jam after a missed shot for the offensive rebound and bucket:

Since breaking through with the starting lineup, Ivey has scored in double figures four times in six games, including a career-high 20 points in a win over Northwestern. With 12 minutes left to go in the game against Nebraska, Ivey is already up to 13 points and six rebounds, an assist, and three steals. Will he set a new career-high against the Huskers?
