.@Chiefs DE George Karlaftis’ 3.0 sacks tied the franchise postseason single-game record (Frank Clark, 2019 Divisional against Houston, ironically enough).
It’s also the fourth-most sacks in a single game in NFL postseason history since sacks became an official stat in 1982.

In total, the Chiefs racked up 8 sacks and 9 TFLs on the day. After walking away with a 23-14 victory, the team will now play either the Baltimore Ravens or Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game.
Before starring with the Chiefs, Karlaftis played for Purdue from 2019-21. In 27 games with the Boilermakers, Karlaftis racked up 99 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, and 14.5 sacks. The defender earned First-team All-American and First-team All-Big Ten honors in 2021 and went on to be a 1st-round selection in the 2022 NFL Draft.
During the 2024 regular season, Karlaftis collected 35 tackles, 8 sacks, 5 pass deflections, and 9 tackles for loss. The Purdue product will now try to win his 3rd Super Bowl in 3 years as a Kansas City Chief.
