Speaking after practice on Thursday, Purdue Boilermakers redshirt freshman quarterback Jack Plummer said the team is “hungry” for a win.

Here are Plummer’s full comments, via Purdue football’s official Twitter account:

Opening their season with an upset loss to the Nevada Wolfpack in Reno, Purdue beat Vanderbilt on September 7 but has since lost three straight. Sitting at 1-4 overall, the Boilermakers are 0-2 in B1G play.

Beginning the season as the backup, Plummer stepped into the starting role following injuries to redshirt senior Elijah Sindelar.

Making his first career start vs. TCU on September 14, the Gilbert, Arizona native completed 13-29 passes for 181 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

In Purdue’s most recent game, a 35-7 loss to No. 10 Penn State on October 5, the Nittany Lions ran through the Boilermakers offensive line to the tune of ten sacks, one shy of the school record.

Unfortunately for Plummer, he will not have sophomore wide receiver Rondale Moore for Saturday’s contest. The action from Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette will kick at 12:00PM ET and will be broadcast on BTN.
