Jaden Ivey will be going to the 2022 NBA Draft. The Purdue guard is ending his collegiate career after leading the team in scoring.

Ivey averaged 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game this season and also shot 46% from the floor. The Boilermakers finished with a 27-7 record in the regular season, and a 3rd place finish the B1G. Purdue also made it to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament before losing to St. Peter’s 67-64.

Ivey released a statement about his decision on Thursday from his Twitter account.

“To Coach Painter, thank you for giving a kid from South Bend a chance to come play for your program,” said Ivey. “You have not only helped me become a better player, but a better person off the court. I am forever grateful to know a person like you. To Boiler Nation, you made every game special. Thank you for all of your support. With that being said, I will be entering my name in the 2022 NBA Draft.”

The 2022 NBA Draft will be held in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday June 23.
