Purdue’s last game before the Christmas break came on Dec. 20. Now, the Boilermakers are returning to the court with a Wednesday evening showdown against Nicholls.

Needless to say, Purdue did not miss a beat after coming back from the holiday. The Boilermakers rolled up the points and eclipsed 100 for the first time this season in the 104-90 win. It is already Purdue’s 7th game of the 2021-22 season with 90+ points.

And stop us if you’ve heard this one before, but a key piece to Purdue’s offensive output was Jaden Ivey. Ivey finished the game with 19 points on a highly efficient 5-for-9 shooting effort. That included a 3-for-6 night from 3-point range.

One of the highlights of the night was also a drive to the basket by Ivey. He turned the corner and beat his man off the dribble, soaring to the rim for an emphatic, high-flying jam.

Zach Edey led 5 Boilermakers in double digits with 21 points. As a team, Purdue shot 35-for-61 from the floor with 30 assists and just 8 turnovers.
