Jaden Ivey made Piston fans very excited Wednesday night.

The former Purdue guard had one of the best rookie debuts across the league for the Pistons against the Magic in a 113-109 win.

Ivey scored the second most point of all rookies drafted in the first round, draining 8 of his 15 field goals on the night for 19 points. He also dished out 4 assists, nabbed 3 rebounds and pickpocketed 3 steals. Not bad fresh out of college.

The Pistons young core is shaping up to be scary good. Ivey former Memphis forward Jalen Duren and former No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham could fuel that team for a long time.

Ivey is by far the most athletic of the bunch, and that’s saying something. It’ll be quite the ride following the former Boilermaker in the NBA.
