Jaden Ivey's big second half lifts Purdue over Michigan State, sends Boilers to B1G Tournament title game
Jaden Ivey stepped up when Purdue needed him most and now the Boilermakers are headed to the B1G Tournament title game.
Ivey scored a game-high 22 points, leading the Boilers to a 75-70 victory over Michigan State on Saturday in the semifinal round of the B1G Tournament. He also grabbed 9 rebounds and had 5 assists in the victory.
Down the stretch, Ivey made big play after big play to help stave off a late run from Michigan State. That includes one of the most ridiculous layups you’ll see this season.
Incredible play by an incredible talent. https://t.co/zVKhjL5mWN

Purdue got plenty of contributions elsewhere throughout the game, as four others also reached double figures. Trevion Williams scored 15 points off the bench and Zach Edey recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards.
Eric Hunter Jr. hit a pair of big 3-point shots down the stretch and finished the game with 11. Mason Gillis also punched in 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in the win.
Saturday’s win over Michigan State marked the first time the Boilers have defeated the Spartans in the B1G Tournament. Purdue is now 1-4.
Purdue will advance to play Iowa for the B1G Tournament title. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. ET tip-off with the game airing on CBS.
