Jaheim Merriweather, a 3-star athlete prospect out of Knoxville, Tennessee (Bearden), has announced a commitment to play in the B1G.

Merriweather is listed at 6 foot 1/2 and 183 pounds, and on Friday committed to play at Purdue after the Boilermakers offered in January. Merriweather is ranked the No. 54 athlete in America in the Class of 2024, and the No. 15 player in the state of Tennessee.

Merriweather committed after he was recruited by running backs coach Lamar Conard when Conrad coached at Miami-Ohio. Merriweather visited Purdue in March, and Conard visited him recently to see him work out.

Merriweather is the 7th commitment for Purdue in the 2024 class and 5th on offense. Earlier commits include 4-star quarterback Marcos Davila, 3-star wide receiver Jesse Watson and 3-star offensive linemen Jordan King and Jaden Ball. Merriweather is the 3rd-highest rated recruit in the class to date.
