Jeff Brohm gave some early thoughts on Michigan as Purdue begins to prepare for the Wolverines in the B1G Championship on Saturday.

Brohm had high praise for Michigan’s team as a whole, complimenting both its offense and its defense.

“They have the full package — great defense, outstanding talent, great coaches,” he said Sunday. “… and now an outstanding talent at quarterback.”

Brohm has respect for Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy, calling him a “top-level quarterback who can do a lot of things.” McCarthy has been vital to the Wolverines’ success this season.

He also praised Michigan’s competitiveness and said that its a credit to Wolverines’ head coach Jim Harbaugh.

“I can tell they play hard, and they take on the personality of their head coach,” Brohm said.

The Wolverines routed Ohio State to reach the B1G Championship, marking their 2nd straight win over Ohio State. Michigan now has a chance to secure a spot in the College Football Playoff if they take care of business against Purdue.

For the Boilermakers, they are trying to shock the nation and upset Michigan, which is favored by 2 touchdowns in early betting lines.
