Purdue got a 40-14 win this past weekend over Maryland that surprised many.

The thought was that Purdue was injury-riddled and wasn’t going to compete with what can potentially be an explosive Terrapins offense. So much for that.

However, Purdue does still have injury issues. One is with All-American wide receiver Rondale Moore. He suffered a knee injury against Minnesota and hasn’t returned to the field since. The Boilermakers, understandably so, have been cautious with their sophomore stud.

On Monday, ahead of the upcoming matchup against Iowa, Purdue coach Jeff Brohm said he is “not real optimistic” on Moore returning for that game. Also said that it’s “too early to tell.”

Purdue-Iowa is scheduled for a noon ET kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 19  at Kinnick Stadium. The Hawkeyes have lost their last two games entering this contest.
