Jeff Brohm gives update on QB Elijah Sindelar, his injury timetable
Purdue has had a rough start to its 2019 campaign.
Not only are the Boilermakers 1-3 overall and 0-1 in Big Ten play to start the season, but the team lost both starting quarterback Elijah Sindelar and sophomore All-American wide receiver Rondale Moore on the same play in the game last week against Minnesota.

On Thursday night, after practice, coach Jeff Brohm gave an update on Sindelar:
Brohm updates Elijah Sindelar after practice today: "From what they are telling us, it’s a good 6-to-8 weeks (recovery from clavicle surgery). If he were to be able to comeback, it would be very late in the season. That is still something that wouldn’t be determined until later."

This isn’t good if you’re a Boilermakers fan. The offense has looked one way this season when Sindelar has been healthy — and that way has been pretty good.
Without Sindelar, however, it hasn’t been as productive. Yes, when Sindelar was out against Minnesota, Jack Plummer stepped in and threw a couple touchdowns. The Boilermakers lost by seven.
However, he also threw a couple interceptions.
Sindelar may be back at some point this season, but the redshirt senior quarterback may not see the field again until the last couple weeks of the year.
