When Purdue hosts Oregon State on Saturday night it’ll mark the first meeting of the two teams since a 1967 showdown that saw the Beavers prevail 22-14, denying the Boilermakers what could have been a shot at a national championship.

The season opener will have no impact on any national championships, but the game is important for Purdue and head coach Jeff Brohm to get off to a good start in hopes of producing a turnaround season in West Lafayette.

Brohm took to the podium Monday morning to meet with the media. He discussed some of his concerns, gave an injury update and announced that the team would name captains later in the week.

Here is some of what he had to say.
