Jeff Brohm previews important matchup for Purdue O-line in B1G Championship Game

Scott Green | 2 months ago
Jeff Brohm’s Purdue team will be playing against Michigan as the B1G West division representatives this Saturday. Brohm addressed a few of the key match ups against the Wolverines especially the Boilermaker’s offensive line versus Michigan’s front 7.
“When you say edge, I don’t know if that is probably a good word, they’re a very talented, most talented defense we’ll face to date and definitely the most talented front four/front seven,” Brohm said while addressing the match up against the Wolverine’s defense. “We’ll have our hands full there so we’ve got to be able to negate that in different ways. That’s having a balanced mixture of getting the ball out quick, screen game, moving the pocket, running the ball in different ways… We can’t allow the sacks, negative plays and interceptions. That’s going to be critical for us.”
Purdue brought back a lot of talent from 2021 on the offensive line and it’s made a difference this year. The Boilermakers are currently 8-4 overall and 6-3 in conference play with their best win being against Illinois.
