Jeff Brohm provides injury update on star DL George Karlaftis
Fans of Purdue were dealt a blow of sorts on Wednesday with some troubling injury news.
Boilermaker head coach Jeff Brohm said that both defensive lineman George Karlaftis and offensive lineman Sam Garvin are dealing with injuries.
Jeff Brohm says George Karlaftis and Same Garvin are in rehab after getting hurt at Illinois. No time table on return. He hopes to get them back for the next game.

For Purdue’s sake, Saturday’s game against Wisconsin is canceled due to the Badgers’ spike in COVID cases. That will buy these key players some time to heal up before a matchup against Northwestern on Nov. 14.
Karlaftis is the more notable name out of the two. He’s been a stalwart at defensive end and is tied for the third-most sacks in the Big Ten with 2.0 this season. He was named to the Big Ten’s All-Freshman team in 2019.
As for Garvin, he emerged as a starter in the final six games of 2019 and has helped in the trenches as the Boilermakers have gotten off to a 2-0 start.
