Jeff Brohm sends thanks, Purdue to wear special helmets for 'Salute to Service' game
Purdue will open the month of November in a special way.
The game between the Boilermakers and Illinois in West Lafayette has been tabbed as a “Salute to Service” at Ross-Ade Stadium. To honors members of the military, head coach Jeff Brohm had a special message before kickoff.

In addition to Brohm’s thank you, the Boilermakers will be sporting special helmets for the game.
The lid is black with a camouflage/pixelated stripe and “Flying P” logo. It’ll be the first time Purdue has sported this helmet.

Purdue (3-5, 1-4) and Illinois (2-6, 0-5) are scheduled to kickoff at noon ET from Ross-Ade Stadium. The game will air on Big Ten Network.
Despite having not won a game in November since 2012, the Boilermakers are a two-touchdown favorite over the Illini.
