Purdue heads into College Park this Saturday to face off against Maryland in a B1G matchup.

Purdue has won back-to-back games, including an upset as a near-10-point underdog at Minnesota last Saturday. The Boilermakers stopped Minnesota’s run, giving up only 47 yards on 26 carries to take down the Gophers 20-10.

Maryland is favored by 3 points on Saturday, but many believe that the Terps may be ripe for an upset. Further boosting Boilermaker hopes was the news that QB Aidan O’Connell will be good to play on Saturday.

O’Connell was injured in the Boilermaker’s win against Syracuse, and the QB did not play in the Week 4 matchup with Florida Atlantic. Although not 100% in the matchup with Minnesota last Saturday, O’Connell still completed 27-of-40 of his passes for 199 yards and 2 interceptions.

Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm told the media during Boilermaker practice on Thursday that the QB was “good to go,” and S/LB Jalen Graham also has a good chance to play. Graham is still working his way back from an impact fracture sustained early in the season.

Graham is an imported part of the Purdue defense, and his absence has been felt on the field. Last season, Graham was fifth on the team with 64 tackles, including 45 solo, 4 tackles-for-loss and 1 sack, and notched a pair of quarterback hurries.
