QB Aidan O’Connell, CB Corey Trice, RB King Doerue, and LB Jalen Graham have all had injury issues recently. Kansas State transfer Tee Denson has been recovering from offseason hernia surgery as well.

O’Connell started against Minnesota, but has been battling an upper-body injury the last couple of weeks. The Purdue QB had 189 yards passing with 2 interceptions against Minnesota. Brohm is feeling optimistic about O’Connell’s chances of playing against Maryland.

The other player on offense that Brohm talked about was Doerue. Doerue missed the Minnesota game with a calf injury and hasn’t played since the Indiana State game. His status for Week 6 is doubtful.

Trice, Graham, and Denson were the defensive players who Brohm updated the injury status of. Brohm is hopeful that Graham will be get to play. Denson still isn’t ready after having double hernia surgery in the offseason.

Trice was seen without a knee brace for the first time in awhile. Trice’s season was ended by a knee injury in 2021.
