The injury bug has not been kind to Purdue this season.

Unfortunately, the bug hit epidemic status in Saturday’s loss to Minnesota. Starting quarterback Elijah Sindelar and star wide receiver Rondale Moore were both injured and removed from the game on the same play.

Brohm said Monday that Sindelar would be undergoing surgery for his injury, but the long-term status of Moore was still unknown. He did rule Moore out for Penn State as the team awaited more information.

Fortunately, Brohm updated Moore’s status on his Wednesday radio show. The good news is that Moore will not be sidelined for the season. Brohm said his status, for now, is “week-to-week,” but Moore is definitely out for the Penn State game.

Mike Carmin with The Journal & Courier shared Brohm’s update:

Hopefully, Moore is able to get healthy and return quickly.
