Jeff Brohm updates status of King Doerue, Devin Mockobee following Week 7
Jeff Brohm got another win in Week 7 against Nebraska. Purdue won a game that had a lot of offense 43-37.
Devin Mockobee has been on fire ever since the upset win over Minnesota. Mockobee had another great performance on Saturday with 178 yards rushing and 1 touchdown.
King Doerue played the backup role against the Huskers and had 31 yards rushing. However, both are dealing with injuries, according to Rivals’ Tom Dienhart.
Mockobee is “a little nicked” in Brohm’s own words.

Brohm also stated that Doerue was supposed to be used for emergency situations at RB, but he opted to play in the game regardless.

The Boilermakers’ rushing attack will miss Mockobee if he is out for an extended period of time. Doerue has been dealing with a calf injury as of late.
Hopefully both will be available for Purdue’s game against Wisconsin on Oct. 22.
