Joe Lunardi offers latest Big Ten Bracketology featuring 7 teams
Joe Lunardi has revealed the latest Big Ten Bracketology for the 2023-24 college basketball season.
The insider has 7 B1G teams making the NCAA Tournament as of now, and the conference also has the No.1 overall seed in Purdue.
Lunardi has Purdue, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Northwestern, and Illinois making it in. Interestingly, Lunardi has the Hoosiers as the automatic qualifier for the B1G.
The seeds for the B1G teams are as follows:
No. 1: Purdue
No. 3: Wisconsin
No. 3: Illinois
No. 7: Ohio State
No. 9: Northwestern
No. 11: Michigan State
No. 13: Indiana
Only the SEC and Big 12 have more teams in the tournament than the B1G. The SEC has 9 while the Big 12 has 8 thus far.
Interestingly, the Spartans are in even after starting out 0-2 on the conference and having a 7-5 record overall. Lunardi has the Nebraska Cornhuskers as one of the first 4 out. The Huskers have gotten off to a 1-1 start in B1G play and are currently 10-2 overall.
Minnesota, Maryland, Michigan, Penn State, Rutgers, and Iowa are the other B1G teams who are currently on the outside looking in.
The Boilermakers are the No. 1 seed in the entire tournament at this point. Led by star Zach Edey, the Boilermakers are 11-1, with their only loss coming against the division-rival Wildcats.
