Joe Lunardi with ESPN dropped a fresh Bracketology outlook for the NCAA Tournament with the regular season fast approaching.

As things currently stand, Alabama reigns as the likely No. 1 overall seed for March Madness. In terms of Purdue, Lunardi has the Boilermakers holding onto a 1-seed for the time being despite some recent struggles.

After previously climbing all the way to No. 1 in the country earlier in the season, Purdue is 2-4 in the last 6 games. That includes a season sweep of Indiana and losses to Northwestern and Maryland on the road.

While none of those losses are disastrous, the Boilermakers will now have to avoid a letdown to ensure their slotting as a No. 1 seed alongside Alabama, Houston and Kansas. UCLA — currently a 2-seed — stands as the biggest competitor to move up with games against Arizona State and Arizona to finish the regular season.

Outlook for the B1G bubble

As for the bubble watch, the B1G has a pair of teams fighting to get into the NCAA Tournament Field. Wisconsin is hovering around the cut line but remains in the “last four in” section.

Things are not as great for Michigan despite a late-season surge for the Wolverines. Juwan Howard’s squad is still in the “first four out” section and likely needs a strong run in the B1G Tournament to land in March Madness.
