LOOK: Purdue helmets to have special stripe in honor of Tyler Trent
Purdue has found a special way to honor Tyler Trent for this weekend’s game against Wisconsin, the final home game of the season for the Boilermakers.
Friday morning, Purdue sent out a tweet showing off the special lids, which contain a message on the back portion of the black helmet stripe. According to the school, Trent was asked what it means to be a Boilermaker. And his descriptive words will be featured on the helmet.
Players will sport helmets with the words “Tough,” “Unrelenting,” “Tenacious,” and “Courageous” will be worn this Saturday as the Boilers take on Wisconsin. The stripe will also feature the “T2” logo, which is the signature mark for Trent.

Saturday marks a special day for Purdue, as seniors will be playing their final home game inside Ross-Ade Stadium.
