Tyler Trent continues to make an impact in the name of cancer research.
The Purdue graduate and super fan who has gained national attention for his ongoing battle with cancer and inspirational fight now has his own bobblehead. And yes, a portion of the cost is going toward cancer research.
On Thursday, the Tyler Trent bobblehead was revealed, featuring the Purdue fan with his trademark blazer. He’s also sporting a T-shirt underneath with the message “Cancer Sucks,” a chant that the Boilermakers student section has started shouting during kickoffs.
Already a hero in the Purdue community, Trent received national attention after his story was featured on ESPN’s College GameDay prior to the Boilers’ game against then-No.2 Ohio State. Trent predicted a Purdue win, and Jeff Brohm and company delivered with a 49-20 decision over the Buckeyes.
Since then, he’s made appearances on several radio shows and even co-hosted SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt.
