It’s never too early to start building future classes on the recruiting front. Over the weekend, Purdue made another addition to its 2022 class with a pledge from an in-state linebacker out of Fort Wayne.

Sunday, 3-star inside linebacker Domanick Moon gave his verbal pledge to the Boilermakers, becoming the second prospect of the cycle to commit. He joins 4-star pro-style quarterback Brady Allen in the 2022 class.

Moon made the announcement with a post on social media on Sunday.

According to 247Sports, Moon ranks as the No. 12 prospect out of the state of Indiana in the 2022 class and is one of the Top 30 inside linebackers overall. His national ranking currently sits at No. 750.

Purdue is one of just two Power 5 programs to make an offer to the linebacker so early in the process. Moon has also received interest from Syracuse, Cincinnati, Ball State, Toledo and Central Michigan, getting six total offers so far.

Jeff Brohm has tended to recruit well since arriving in West Lafayette, but the 2021 class currently ranks dead last in the B1G and sits outside the Top 70 nationally. But Purdue is off to a strong start with the 2022 cycle.

The Boilers are 2-4 this season.
