Louisiana ATH becomes sixth commit for Purdue's 2022 recruiting class
Purdue’s recruiting class is up to six commitments with Jeff Brohm and company reaching into the southeast for one athlete prospect.
Roman Pitre is rated a three-star athlete by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Listed at 6-foot-5 and 215 lbs., Pitre has the elite size to be a playmaker on either side of the ball. It will be interesting to see how the Boilermakers decide to deploy Pitre in West Lafayette.

Pitre selected Purdue over offers from Baylor, Arizona State, Colorado, and a number of other programs throughout the southeast. He is rated as the No. 40 prospect out Louisiana and the No. 80 ATH nationally.
Pitre is the second prospect to commit to Purdue in the last week, along with Ohio prospect Charlie Kenrich. The 2022 recruiting class for the Boilermakers is now up to 59th nationally for the cycle and is headlined by in-state four-star QB Brady Allen.
