Luke Griffin, a veteran Missouri offensive lineman who entered the transfer portal about a month ago, has found a new home.

Griffin announced that he’s committed to Purdue as he reunites with offensive line coach Marcus Johnson who this offseason left Mizzou for Purdue. The one-time Georgia commit began his career with the Tigers in 2019. After he redshirted his first season, Griffin played in 9 games of the 2020 campaign, including a start at left guard against South Carolina.

In 2021, Griffin played in all 13 games, starting the last 6 games. Last season, Griffin made 11 appearances, but just 1 start against Abilene Christian. Griffin has 2 seasons of eligibility remaining.

Griffin is listed at 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds, and overall appeared in 30 games for the Tigers.

When he decommitted from Georgia, Griffin was considered the No. 34 offensive tackle in the class of 2019 and the No. 40 overall recruit from the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s from Chatsworth, Georgia (North Murray).
