Matt Painter updates status of Eric Hunter for Tuesday's B1G/ACC Challenge
Purdue basketball coach Matt Painter has officially updated the status of guard Eric Hunter Jr. ahead of the game against Miami Tuesday in the ACC/B1G Challenge.
The update looks to be promising, according to Painter on his radio show:
Matt Painter radio show: On Eric Hunter, Jr.,
"If he does what he did (Sunday) – he did everything – he should be full go."#Purdue plays at Miami (Fla.) in Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Tuesday.

It looks like Hunter just needs to practice in full again to play against the Hurricanes. That is a good sign as he tries to work back from a knee injury that was expected to take about six-to-eight weeks to work his way back from.
Hunter Jr. was one of Purdue’s best players last season as he averaged 10.6 points per game. He also started in 30 of the Boilermakers’ 31 games. Hunter Jr. also averaged almost three assists per game last season and a tad over three rebounds per game.
It was the best season of his career as he only averaged 2.2 points per game the season before. Tip-off for Purdue’s game on Tuesday will be at 5 p.m. ET and the game will be televised by ESPN2.
