Mitchell Fineran’s name became very familiar to Purdue fans over the last two seasons and the kicker closes out his career with one of the most legendary runs in Purdue kicker history.

Fineran ends his career as the most accurate kicker in Purdue football history with a 79.3% career field goal percentage. He also finishes his career 4th in all-time in field goals made with 42 made across his two seasons with Purdue.

Before he joined Purdue last season, Fineran played three seasons at Stanford. Across his 5 seasons, Fineran racked up 85 made field goals with a 78% success rate. He recorded 464 points in his career.

Sadly for Fineran, he couldn’t end his Purdue career with a win. The Boilermakers were obliterated by LSU in the Cheez-It Bowl, losing 63-7. Fineran saw the field just one time in the game for an extra point.

Purdue had an overall successful season, going 8-6 on its way to the B1G Championship. The Boilermakers would lose that game to Michigan.
