The Journal and Courier reported on Monday that two Purdue football players were arrested over the weekend.

Freshman linebacker Wyatt Cook was reportedly arrested for minor consumption while classmate Chazmyn Turner was arrested for possession of marijuana.

According to the report, Purdue coach Darrell Hazell is aware of the incident and has not addressed it publicly yet.

Neither of the first-year players have appeared in a game in 2015.

It marked the second time in 2015 that Purdue had a pair of freshman players arrested. Evyn Cooper and David Rose were arrested at the start of the season for allegedly stealing bikes. They were suspended two games following the incident.

The Boilermakers will host Minnesota on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
